Live Oak Islamic Center - Milad an-Nabi

On May 25th, 2003, the Live Oak Islamic Center held a very successful Milad an-Nabi commemoration in honor of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.

Hosted by Imam Muhammad Amin Noman Mujaddadi, the event was held in the nearby Islamic Center of Yuba City. The commemoration drew nearly a thousand people from Live Oak, Woodland, Yuba City and Marysville in addition to attendees from as far away as San Jose and Fresno.

Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani lead the closing du`a after the recitation of salaam (greetings and sending blessings of peace on the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad, sall-Allahu `alayhi wa sallam).

Dr. Mohammad Zafar Iqbal Noori, Imam of Alexandria Mosque, Virginia, speaks on love of the Prophet, peace be upon him.

Speakers followed one another in highly respectful praise of the Beloved Messenger of Allah Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.

Speakers included Shabir Husain Shah, Shaykh Ramzan Ashrafi, Shaykh Basheer Sialvi, Shaykh Bilal Ahmed, Sahykh Aulad Rasool and Shaykh Zubair Naqshbandi.

The keynote speaker at this auspicious event was Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani, calipha of Mawlana As-Sayyid Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil al-Haqqani, chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of America and founder of the Naqshbandi-Haqqani Sufi Order of North America. Speaking on the Light of the Prophet, Shaykh Kabbani emphasized that

Reciters included Maulana Qari Muhammad Ashraf Karim, Qari Sabir Hussain Haqqani, Tassavar Iqbal, Naveed Iqbal, the Rehmani brothers, Sayyed Mansoor Hussain Shah and Mohammad Shahid as well as many of the local Islamic school's children.
