Shaykh Nazim arrives at Teaneck Mosque, New Jersey.
Shaykh Nazim delivered an extremely powerful wa`z (sermon) after Salat al-Dhuhr. He denounced the efforts of sectarian groups to prevent Muslims from celebrating the personality and personage of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and called for the adherents of Ahl as-Sunna wal-Jama`at aqida to hold firmly to their beliefs, as passed down from one generation to another, for the past 14 centuries
Giving shahada to a new sister, whom the Shaykh gave the name Mariam.
Over 200 congregants take the oath of initiation into the Naqshbandi Sufi Order, along with the new sister Mariam who had just taken shahada.
