Grand Opening! New Naqshbandi-Haqqani Zawiya (Highlands of Java, Indonesia)
Islamic New Year Begins With Good Tidings in the Year of 1425 Hijri.

Shaykh Hisham leads Dhikr-Allah - the ceremony of God's Remembrance to open the newest zawiya to be completed in Indonesia, up in the heavily forested highlands of Java.

Students of Shaykh Hisham gather for prayers in the newly opened center for spiritual development, all dressed in white to signify a heart full of prayer and a purified spirit.

Row upon row of local Murids pray with the Shaykh for a world of peace and love, and for the reality of Islam to flourish once again to guide mankind towards peace and contentment.

Berny Subki, spokesman for the Naqshbandi-Haqqani Foundation of Indonesia, welcomes Shaykh Kabbani in the presence of his Indonesian students.

Mr. Sunarto, Chairman of the Naqshbandi-Haqqani Foundation of Indonesia and President of the Union of Ship Owners of the China Sea, reads a speech of expressing the gratitude of Indonesia's people to Shaykh Kabbani for his efforts in promoting traditional Islamic spirituality throughout the vast population of the island nation.

Naqshbandi reciters play traditional songs of praise accompanied by duff drumming to welcome Shaykh Kabbani for the grand opening of the center, which corresponds with the beginning of the Islamic New Year on the 1st of Muharram, 1425.

The custom-made doors of the center bear the Royal Crest of the Naqshbandi-Haqqani Sufi Order, which symbolizes that the essence of the order is the reality of the Prophet Muhammad (s).

Shaykh Kabbani signs the commemorative plaque, engraved in marble, that will grace the entrance hall of the newest of Indonesia's Naqshbandi zawiyas.
