Visit to Spiritual Village Pekalongan

A massive crowd of students of Islamic spirituality came to greet Shaykh Hisham on his visit to the village of Pekalongan. The spiritual tradition and discipline of the Naqshbandi-Haqqani Tariqat is followed by each member of the village.

 

Mureeds greeted Shaykh Hisham by reciting Mawlid and songs of welcome, followed by a sohbat by the Shaykh in Arabic.

Grave of Shaykh Abdullah Khani of the Naqshbandi-Khalidi order, one of the 300 caliphs of Sayyidina Khalid al-Baghdadi, whom he dispersed around the globe. He is buried beside the Madrassa of Shaykh Tawfiq.

Thousands of mureeds attending the welcoming of Shaykh Hisham to Pekalongan. Maintaining strict adab, they are all dressed in white for the occasion. The Naqshbandi-Haqqani madrassa maintained by Shaykh Tawfiq in Pekalongan hosts over 6000 male students, and over 5000 female students in separated compounds. They are all learning Sharia'h and Tasawwuf from an early age.

Thousands of mureeds raise their index fingers signifying while testifying to faith in Allah Almighty as the only one worthy of worship, the One God, Creator all, and the at Muhammad, peace be upon him, is the Last and Final Messenger of Allah.

Shaykh Al-Habib Ahmed Lutfi, who took initiation in the Naqshbandi-Haqqani order three years ago with Shaykh Hisham. A descendant of Prophet (s) from Yemen, Shaykh Lutfi maintains the Habibiyya Zawiyya and Mosque and hosts the Dala'il ul-Khayrat majlis daily there. In the majlis, every afternoon between Salat al-`Asr and Salat al-Maghrib, over 3,000 mureeds recite Jazuli's Dala'il al-Khayrat in unison.

the limitlessness of Allah's knowledge;
the importance of intention;
the greatness of the Prophet (s);
the secrets of the Sahaba;
the knowledge of the Shaykh;
the discipline of the Naqshbandi order;
the purpose of difficulties;
discipline in the presence of the Shaykh;
sincere giving for the Shaykh;
perfection of oneself through tariqa.
