2,500 receive Naqshbandi-Haqqani Tariqat

  

Shaykh Hisham is greeted with drumming and recitation of qasa'id in praise of the Prophet Muhammad
(s) by over 2,500 members of a pesantren (village) in Eastern Java.
Right: The Shaykh of the pesantren, where orphans are raised and trained in recitation of Quran, study fiqh
(jurisprudence), `aqida (doctrine) and tasawwuf (spiritual discipline and perfection of character),
greets Shaykh Hisham with perfect good manners.
Then Shaykh Hisham led the group to another hall in the pesantren, accompanied by the mureeds.

In the large hall, Shaykh Hisham gave an association (suhbat) on the importance of initiation into a spiritual
path (baya`) and its significance and internal secrets.

Following this talk, the crowd of attendees literally rushed to put their hands for accepting initiation
in the spiritual Naqshbandi-Haqqani path.
Following the initiation, the Shaykh was requested to honor the pesantren by planting a tree at the grave
of its founding saint, in keeping with the Sunna of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.
 
Following the planting ceremony, Shaykh Hisham inscribed the grave marker of the saint.
